Prohibited Items for International Shopping and Shipping

This compliance helps protect customer interests, ensure the safety of logistics operations, and minimize legal risks.

Accordingly, Micafi does not provide international shopping assistance or shipping services for items prohibited under local laws and regulations of the destination country. Customers are strongly advised to review the applicable regulations carefully to avoid confiscation, additional charges, or legal violations.

Note: The prohibited item list below is based on regulations currently applicable to Vietnam. For other destination countries, restrictions may vary depending on local laws and import policies.

1. Absolutely Prohibited Items for Shopping Assistance and Shipping

1.1 Weapons, Support Tools & Military Equipment

  • Military weapons, knives, swords, firearms of all kinds (including sports and hunting weapons).
  • Support tools such as electric batons, pepper spray, batons, and similar items.
  • Specialized equipment used by military or law enforcement forces.

1.2 Prohibited Substances & Hazardous Chemicals

  • Narcotics, drug precursors, and stimulants.
  • Toxic, corrosive, radioactive, magnetic, flammable, or explosive chemicals and materials.

1.3 Cultural Products & Items Affecting National Security and Public Order

  • Subversive materials and obscene or pornographic publications.
  • Fireworks, explosives, and items that pose threats to public safety and national security.

1.4 Pharmaceuticals, Biological Items & Prohibited Flora and Fauna

  • Veterinary drugs and pesticides not licensed for circulation.
  • Plant seeds and livestock breeds of unclear or illegal origin.
  • Products derived from endangered wildlife, including bones, horns, ivory, skins, remains, and similar items listed under CITES.

1.5 Minerals, Scrap Materials & Toxic Waste

  • Restricted minerals and scrap materials that cause environmental pollution.
  • Waste materials, used batteries, and components containing heavy metals.

1.6 Unlicensed Medical Devices

  • Medical supplies and chemicals used for virus research or laboratory purposes.
  • Medical devices that have not been certified or licensed for importation.

1.7 Currency & High-Value Assets

  • Vietnamese currency, foreign currency, gold, silver, diamonds, and precious stones.
  • Valuable documents such as bonds, savings books, and similar instruments.

1.8 Tobacco Products & Related Materials

  • Cigarettes, cigars, and electronic cigarettes (vapes).
  • Materials and flavorings used in the production of electronic cigarettes.

2. Special Notes When Ordering from Overseas via Micafi

In addition to the general prohibited items, Micafi does not accept:

  • Fresh food requiring special preservation (frozen, chilled, or refrigerated).
  • Spray products, especially those labeled as flammable or inflammable.

Goods may be held at overseas warehouses if:

  • The sender name on the shipment is a foreign individual.
  • The shipment is flagged by carriers or local authorities for suspected fraud or improper payment.

In such cases, customers must provide transparent transaction documentation within 10 days. Failure to do so may result in the shipment being returned to the carrier.

3. Dangerous Goods Prohibited from Air Transportation

According to ICAO and IATA regulations, Micafi does not provide shopping assistance or air shipping for the following items:

  • Explosives: fireworks, ammunition, explosive materials.
  • Flammable substances: gasoline, paint, solvents.
  • Corrosive substances: acids, industrial chemicals.
  • Toxic substances: pesticides, poisons.
  • Radioactive materials: uranium, cesium, and similar substances.
  • Special items: high-capacity lithium batteries, compressed gas cylinders, and pressurized devices.

4. Consequences of Violations

  • Goods may be confiscated or destroyed in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Customers may be subject to administrative penalties or criminal liability.
  • Micafi shall not be responsible for compensation in any case involving violations.

5. Guidelines for Checking Goods Before Shipping

Customers are strongly advised to:

  • Review prohibited item lists published by the Vietnam Customs Authority.
  • Check HS codes to determine import restrictions.
  • Verify regulations issued by relevant ministries (Industry and Trade, Health, Agriculture, etc.).
  • Refer to international conventions and agreements (WTO, CITES, FTAs).
